Every Monday we go Cross Country Skiing at the park across the street from our school. Here's Harrison getting ready to get moving!
Jaia wears the smallest boots in the class, but she's a pretty fast skier!
Coach Kim comes to teach us how to ski each week. She's a really good skier and is showing us how to improve as skiers. Here she is showing Clara and Dave where to go.
Joxan was going too fast for his own good, so down on his rear end he went! Falling hurts sometimes, but the better we get, the less we fall.
Erika & Destiny get tangled up with their skies. It's easy to run into each other when we are all skiing in the same place.
Mahommed is showing off his incredible moves. But in a few seconds, he will fall.
Here's Coach Kim leading Kegan & Vianna to the other side of the park. Coach Katie is following right behind, she helps us with our skiing as well.
Abdirahman loves to show off on his skies as well. He's gotten pretty good at going fast, bumping into others and falling down.
Mr. Trumper is giving Joxan & Chue some advice on how to ski better, he is a great cross country skier himself.
Here's the whole class outside. You can see Mr. Lundquist is taking the photo. Destiny & Daynesha are pictured on the ground behind the group, they lost their balance and fell.
On your marks, get set, go! Emyla leads the group back to school as we took off for the warm school building.
Coach Kim always ends the skiing session with a talk about nutrition and how to stay fit and healthy. We are practicing each week for the rest of this month before we all go to ski in the Sons of Norway Minne-Loppet on January 31st in Uptown Minneapolis.

Fantastic pictures of fast and furious skiers! I am so proud of the improvemnt your class has made on cross-country skiing.

Well done commentary under all the pictures! The City of Lakes Loppet is going to use some of these pictures for a promotional piece for the Miniloppet race.

Look forward to seeing you all on Monday. Get ready for some fun ski soccer!

Skiing looks like fun in Minneapolis. Here in Worthington, the wind blows all the snow into our faces since it's so flat here. Your blog looks awesome! :-)
